متن کاملPregnancy in a woman with uncorrected tetralogy of fallot.
Tetralogy of Fallot (ToF) is the most common form of cyanotic congenital heart disease after 1 year of age, with overall incidence approaching 10% of all congenital heart disease. Natural survival (i.e. without corrective procedure) into the fourth decade is extremely rare (only about 3%), but there is a tendency of increasing number of women with cyanotic congenital heart disease living 3 to 4...

Tetralogy of Fallot is the most common form of cyanotic congenital heart disease. Survival after the age of 12 years without corrective surgery is rare. We present the case of a 25 year-old man with uncorrected tetralogy of Fallot. Possible reasons for the longetivity in this patient are left ventricular hypertrophy and systemic to pulmonary shunting through internal mammary arteries.

TOF comprises obstruction to right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT; pulmonary stenosis [PS]), ve...

The most common cause of stroke in children is probably congenital heart disease. Other risk factors include sickle cell disease, infections, and various prothrombotic conditions. We present a case of a 3-year-old male child, who was previously diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallo...
